Is it? I don't have a wide acquaintanceship among non-Americans (or maybe just among non-dork people in general). Given that my nearest non-American neighbor is a professor, and that the second-nearest has family in Tel Aviv, I suspect that they could give me the details on Suez on a moment's notice. But are they a fair sample?
- NikkiA 2y agoCertainly most brits are aware of the Suez crisis, the Malayan Emergency, Mau Mau and the Aden Emergency, not least because of the fact that together they kept us from getting involved in Vietnam. I imagine most people that might have an interest in 20th century conflicts is probably aware of them, and the rest.
