I’m not sure how profitable long videos like this are for the creator. Does YouTube count my minutes watched at half when I watch at 2x? And one big video is almost certainly not going to be the same as lots of small videos. I feel like her channel in particular is more of a funnel to subscribe to her Patreon for more frequent content.
- jmprspret 2y agoCreators usually get paid by ads as well. Its been a long time since I've seen an ad on YouTube thanks to adblock, but a longer video you can fit more ads into.
- brudgers 2y agoone big video is almost certainly not going to be the same as lots of small videos A lot of channels (in absolute numbers) publish lots of long videos (in relative numbers).
