Jensen is a mastermind! Tesla is buying Nvidia GPUs so naturally Jensen promotes Tesla for their GPU use case which is full self driving. If Tesla succeeds or not, doesn't matter for Nvidia as long as Tesla continue to buy Nvidia GPUs till the very end. But actually Nvidia is also a competitor to Tesla because Nvidia is using DriveSim for 7 years now with a different approach to the issue of FSD. Nvidia decided to re-build the world in a real-time and all physics included simulation. This is a huge effort which might pay off in the end. Tesla can do like a billion miles in daily sunshine traffic but a simulation system allows you to simulate unpredictable situations. The hardest part is, how will AI decide what to do in difficult driving conditions or in sudden dangerous situation. How do you test a kid running on the road behind a school bus? Such things and a lot more can be tested and repeated a million times in simulation. The difference between Tesla and Nvidia is that Tesla is fine with FSD at 99% and beta testing with customers while for Nvidia that isn't enough. That's why it seems that Tesla is ahead because they claim their solution is already driving around. Meanwhile, Nvidia has already probably billions if not trillions of driven miles in simulation and has been fine tuning that for years.
