I think it's safe to say at this point that it hasn't gained a lot of traction, at least outside of google. If you are making a forward looking business decision, I'd probably avoid it. OTOH people are actively working on it so if you are looking to get smarter or use for your own niche thing we're Carbon suits your purpose, I can think of less worthy projects to dive in to.
