Kubuntu 24.04 is great. Currently using 64gb of ram + i7 13700k + 32" 4k lcd, it is enough to run multiple docker containers and runs really snappy with all the animations turned off. Everything worked perfectly out of the box with a z790 chipset. I use it for webdev and playing with some embeded dev, and anything else that is not gpu-intensive. But 64gb of ddr5 is like $150 these days, very cheap just get that.
