Iron could be key to less expensive greener lithium-ion batteries
- whaleofatw2022 2y agoI'm confused by this. Haven't we had LiFePO batteries for a while? What makes this different?
- chriscappuccio 2y agoLooks like a higher capacity formulation than the current LiFePO4
- anakaine 2y agoThat would be excellent. Iron tends to be cheap, too. Hopefully it drives costs down. It would be wonderful if the solution wasn't prone to erupting in to flames when exposed to air like the current lithium based batteries.

- jarbus 2y agoI wonder how this relates to sodium ion batteries. Would this make them obsolete if these are a better alternative to lithium ion?
