Democracy worked, for a while. And at least when it fails, there are mechanisms in place for restitution. Not so much for autocracies, which aren't competent just by being. The current ones somewhat work, but who knows down the line?
- gjsman-1000 2y agoOf course. But the greatest threat to a democracy is not some controversial leader who makes bold or questionable decisions. It’s when the majority of people get the feeling, the sense, that their desires and needs are not being met.
