You’re right, kind of. I got snow tires for my model Y and it has been great for ski trips or even down the hill during the rare PNW snow. A Tesla with summer (maybe even all season) tires, its monstrous torque, and regenerative braking, is definitely not a good winter car for the uninitiated.
