For way less than that you can get a 16gb/8vCPU ARM in Hetzner [1], and since it's for a analytics service, it doesn't matter it's not hosted close to your user

And if you did want something closer, Hetzner offers USA based vCPU options that are still quite affordable compared to DO. There's a 4GB option for 9 Euros. I recently migrated my personal projects from DO to Hetzner for this reason

  I had no idea DigitalOcean pricing has become so uncompetitive. I remember back a few years it was praised by people for how cheap it was.
