The interview (test) isn't how well you know your IDE or the compiler tools, but the test is: Can you work hard (study leetcode) and have mental ability to achieve your goals (a job offer). IMHO, this is the same as disabling linting or compiling. Or why companies (used to) do coding challenges on a white board.
