Total global electrical consumption is around 22k tWh a a year. 0.5 tWh for what datacenters give us is significant but more than worth the value they provide imo.
- Arnt 2y agoThat's total server use, not just AI. And the forecast is from the IEA, an institution from which another forecast has been badly wrong 14 years in a row and without a change of methodology.
