- geerlingguy 2y agoNot sure you're being downvoted—probably the last bit of your statement... but there is a wave of "jam AI into it or you're not keeping up with the Joneses" in every application and tool I've noticed over the past year now. It's nauseating, really, and I think for some devs they probably thought their terminal environment was the last place they'd see anything AI pop up, so they're taking out the pent up annoyance out on iTerm2.

- noncoml 2y agoMisunderstanding. I’m talking about the death of the buzzword, not the death of what it represents. AI is here to stay but eventually it will die out as a buzzword and as a trend to be made to fit in places it has no reason being in. Big Data, Blockchain etc are all still here and used but the trend of being used as a buzzwords and added to random products for no reason has long been forgotten. Hope it clears it out.
