I don’t understand the draw of fusion. Even if the fusion reactor itself was free, the cost of harvesting the heat and transforming into electricity is quite expensive and complicated to the point that it’s its very non competitive with solar or other renewables. It also has the same ramp up and down problems of nuclear. Besides being a cool physics problem is not actually an economically viable source of electricity.
