The world is exactly there as it ever was, power structures and power struggles. Two major differences to the past is that there is more people than ever, and that we currently have near-instant global communication. I'm with you on the "think of the children" argument. That is 100% what's happening, and I think that it boils down to how the human mind works, particularly on how putting out a fire feels much better than preventing the same fire. "Libertarian" means a lot of things, so it's hard to criticize, I especially struggle with the closing thought. Who are these libertarians that we should support, in order to have a better world?
