Why do people focus on AI's failures?
- chrisjj 2y agoUpvoted. Its like why do people focus on Boeing's failures, or Enron's, or Purdue Pharma's.
- zero-sharp 2y agoPeople talk about focusing excessively on negatives in general. But if something isn't working, wouldn't you want to hear about it to make it better? Isn't clear communication about expectations the right thing to do? Isn't transparency important? Maybe that's not a corporate-friendly take, but maybe that's the problem.
- beardyw 2y agoIt's like product reviews (honest ones). The product is advertised as being all good, so people feel the need to point out the ways in which it isn't. Not so much negative as balancing the scales.
