Extorting, Exit Scamming, Darknet Market Owner of Incognito Busted by the Feds
- brokenmachine 2y agoThis guy pissed off so many dangerous people, I think he's not long for this world.
- yieldcrv 2y ago> Despite the government’s narrative of a crackdown on darknet operations, the reality remains that many such markets continue to thrive Good line, I still think it’s strange when people’s depth on this topic begins and ends with Silk Road, that small market that’s been gone since 2013, over a decade ago
- hiatus 2y agoShame, incognito was definitely the slickest UI as far as marketplaces go.
- yieldcrv 2y agoI’m not sure if I visited Some have gotten so complicated to use, so that the government wont be able to seize any funds when servers get seized. It also prevents exit scamming but it is complicated! bitcoin and monero are easy to use with Tor, but the entire EVM ecosystem relying on chrome/firefox extensions and mobile apps instead of any good desktop app is so limiting to me

- yieldcrv 2y agomaybe, just maybe, the other reading of it that actually makes sense is the one that made sense: I want to use EVM tokens and smart contracts over Tor or on Whonix/Tails, instead of only bitcoin or monero
- nickzelei 2y agoThis comes just as I’ve finished reading Tracers in the Dark. Pretty interesting stuff. Will be interesting to read more deeply how they were able to track and take down this marketplace.
