Boost::graph feels like one of the dustier corners of the Boost libraries. I have used it, it worked, but it took a long time to wrap my head around the design and actually adapt it to my project. It is not great for getting simple things done, but it will get them done, with the power and flexibility as stated in the article. You will likely never see the Boost interfaces poking through whatever facade you end up erecting around it.
