- creato 2y agoRegardless of what is going on with the rest of the story, which while it is terrible for these people, it's not clear that they should simply escape their old mortgages freely, this: > They auctioned her home. And the winning bidder in the end was First American National. > The house is now worth more than $600,000. First American National bought it for $178,500. Seems like it can't be legal.
