AI chatbots are intruding where people are trying to connect with other humans

- dvfjsdhgfv 2y agoBecause there are two distinct areas: 1) Pushing a chatbot where you previously had a human chat is plain wrong, especially when it pretends to be human "Hi it's Lynda!" 2) Adding functionality to permit users to ask questions and receive relevant answers instead of reading the documentation as an option to the former might be a good thing if presented properly and implemented well (which almost never happens - what you get is an annoying popup that is practically useless half of the time)
- sabrina_ramonov 2y agoAs long as the responses are labeled as AI generated, I wouldn't object. It'd be interesting to interweave AI generated responses that come from specific and relevant AI personas. In the context of a parenting discussion like in the article, for example, you could have an LLM prompted to be an expert in positive reinforcement parenting style and up-to-date with the latest research.
