Bullshit. Masks are useless against an airborn pathogen---how in the world would anybody think that is remotely plausible? I suppose you wouldn't mind if your doctor operated on you without wearing a mask? I suppose you wouldn't mind if your chef or waiter would cough on your food before serving it to you? We used to be a nation which didn't mind making sacrifices for the greater good. Now, apparently, we are a nation of whiners who think the best use of scientists's times is to keep making ever more excuses for our unpatriotic and antisocial behavior. I was in NYC when the plague came. For months, every single day, I saw one of my neighbors being wheeled out of my apartment building, feet first, never to return. Then, we started wearing masks, things got instantly and dramatically better. The key for NYC is that everybody, and I mean everybody wore the masks. From the patricians of Park Avenue, to the homeless in the streets, everybody was wearing a mask, anytime they were outside. And no "scientific" study, no "meta-analysis" meat grinder by some assistant professor hack has any credibility at all. I saw what I saw, with my own eyes. Compared to the sacrefices our grandparents had to go through, say, in WWII, being asked to wear a mask was a really small thing to ask. Its not like we had ration cards, or were drafted.
