- Someone 2y ago> The odds are against this being an accident. What makes you think so? Looking for data, I found https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_heads_of_state_and_government_who_died_in_aviation_accidents_and_incidents https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_heads_of_state_and_gov.... It lists 3 helicopter accidents (one of them this year) and one helicopter bombing. Also, weather in the region apparently isn’t good for safely flying helicopters (FTA: “He said the visibility in the mountainous and wooded area was down to only about five meters.”) That, to me, doesn’t support a claim “The odds are against this being an accident”. Do you have data that does?
- apgwoz 2y agoWell, clearly, the assassins _made_ the weather difficult for helicopters so they could plausibly deny accountability like any good assassin.
- ajsnigrutin 2y agoOr waited for a moment where it could be made deniable.
- ajsnigrutin 2y agoI mean.. there are a few countries that have problems with Iran and have the means to do it.
- screye 2y agoSomehow it's always helicopter crashes. Important people die in these crashes all the time. It's cuz they're unsafe, not malicious intent. The Indian head of military forces, the Leicester city billionare.... those are just a couple off the top of my head.
- pests 2y agoKobe Bryant, his 13 year old daughter + 7 others.
- ChuffedToBits 2y agoAll else being the same, Iranian aircraft will actually be likelier to be involved in accidents than aircraft in similar countries, due to the unavailability of spare parts caused by western sanctions.
- shashashasha___ 2y agoand how did you get to that conclusion? to me its odds are very much for technical failure and harah weather caused it to crash. much more logical
