Better super conductors is some top tier democratizing tech. It means cheap fusion reactors for every home, which could give every family nearly unlimited access to electricity. This means people anywhere in the world could have environmental comfort, grow their own food, recycle water, and basically enjoy the highest quality of life that we can imagine today, scaled to a population of trillions.
The labor models dreamed up by philosophers and economists hundreds of years ago don't really apply in this sort of post-scarcity society.
- barfbagginus 2y agoYes but now we're the economists and the philosophers. And we're dreaming up the ideas. As I envision it, queer space communism is a communism of post scarcity and intersectional inclusivity, not your great grandpa's communism. It requires us to develop all sorts of new post-economic theories, and it requires us to develop post scarcity production systems, using open source automation. I want to support trillions of humans with systems that we build together. It's going to be a lot of fun!
