Ask HN: Good Resources for UX/UI

I'm designing my first proper application and I want to get it right as best I can. I'm looking for good sources for UI and UX. I'm looking at Don't make me think by Steve Krug for simple self-explanatory UI design. I'm looking for a good information source on, and I don't know what the term or if there is one, for designing how a user moves through the application. Is that a thing? Obviously any suggestions for other good sources to look at would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd consider diving into A/B testing. For UX/UI designers, it will literally help your products generate additional revenue.   Thanks, I'll take a look but a quick glance seems to suggest it's way over my head. I'm designing the app solely for a family member to help with a bespoke part of their business. I'm certainly not focused on generating any revenue from the app itself.

  Perfect much appreciated, I thought it would have a nam/term but it's hard to describe something to a search engine/language model if you don't even have a starting point from which to work.

Whatever you do it will be wrong first time. Make sure your solution is flexible.
