The England museums averaging fewer than one visitor a day
- jbosh 2y agoI love the prospect of going to the least popular items on this list. The volunteers sound super passionate and not having to fight lines is wonderful.
- pestatije 2y agoyou might have to fight with the museums opening timetable
- doodaddy 2y agoI've recently come to love going to the hyper-local, out of the way, or seemingly forgotten museums. Their collections are often unique and sometimes quirky. Most of all, though, I find that it's far easier to connect with the history of the place that I'm visiting because the museum is more intimate and the collections more accessible.
- mikewarot 2y agoCloser to home, the Manistee County Historical Museum[1], was empty when we visited back in 2003 our our Circle Tour of Lake Michigan. It's a wonderful place, and it was amazing to have the run of it. [1] https://www.manisteemuseum.org/ https://www.manisteemuseum.org/
- telesilla 2y agoDuring the pandemic on the day we went, we were two of 20 visitors to the Alhambra in Granada, what spectacular luck we had to have a kings view of the place.
