My grandfather was a SMSgt in the Air Force. That didn't stop an allegedly drunk Navy surgeon from giving his wife, my grandmother, a radical hysterectomy without consent during a hernia operation. Can anyone seriously doubt the outcome would've been different if he were a flag officer instead?
- smeg_it 2y agowow, I've heard horror stories and that's one of the worst. Also heard about a pediatrician doing a surgery they shouldn't have just to keep up the surgery qualification. I forget the whole story, but it didn't go well.
