My kid is 6 and does not have one. I work from home and frequently and one of the easy ways to keep his attention while I’m trying to work is to hand over the iPad. It always seems to have an effect on emotional regulation if he has it for more than about 30 minutes. I cannot imagine what he’d be like when he possesses something like that full time.
