- strongpigeon 2y agoSomething that could be pretty cool to do with this is generate a `og:image` based on the state in the URL. This way, the actual game would render in iMessage & all rather than having to screenshot it.

- topaz0 2y agoThis is pretty fun. Kinda wonder if it has to be so slow to update given that everything is local. Or does it have to do a round trip to the server on every click? Bug report: this gives a yellow square for a letter that should be gray, when that letter occurs elsewhere in the word and the guess already has it in the right place. So e.g. if the word is ABCDE and you guess ABCDD it gives green for the first D and yellow for the second D (which should be gray).
- tr3ntg 2y agoLove this. Would it be possible to read in a daily-changing starting word state that then gets stored via URL as preservation? That'd bring it a little nearer to classic wordle.

- porphyra 2y agoYeah the duplicate letters is bugged and also it lets you enter invalid words.

- tantalor 2y ago"Static" means no app code on server. Every website in history runs app code on client (HTML is a programming language)
- dylan604 2y agoNot once has the been my definition of a static site. Static to me has always been flat files that do not need to have a language on the server process them like PHP making calls to a MySQL database. If you download a static site and then clicked Save from the browser, you could then open the saved HTML content and it appear exactly as it did from calling the URL.
- antiframe 2y agoIn one of the guesses, I wish to reuse a grey letter to make a valid word, but it won't let me. Edit: It allows me to guess invalid words.
