Teslas are still quite cheap - VW's also historically have had problems with infotainment. The ones which are good (ID.7, BMW i4) are also more expensive - although arguably they are much better cars than Tesla in most areas. But, if I would look for an electric car in Tesla segment I would look into Hyundai Ionic 5/6 or Kia EV6 - they are in general great cars, which have proper service networks and will be around for years, what sets them apart from a chinese tesla-killer du jour.
