Twitter/X is now broken in FF when anti-browser fingerprinting settings are used
- JeanMarcS 2y agoSorry for reddit link, only place I found confrimation of the information by now. Got the surprise of twitter/X not allowing access on Firefox with message : Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com
- spurgu 2y agoThe solution there (adding an exception for x.com) works. I already had Twitter containerized. https://www.reddit.com/r/privacy/comments/1ctxa3v/twitterxitter_is_now_broken_in_ff_when/l4fbk45/ https://www.reddit.com/r/privacy/comments/1ctxa3v/twitterxit...
- JeanMarcS 2y agoIs it ? If you add an exception, won't you be tracked by all X icons on every other websites ?
- spurgu 2y agoGood point. You're isolating your logged in session but not the fingerprinting.
- greenyoda 2y agoInteresting... Twitter started working again for me as soon as I created a new container for it. I didn't have to add an exception. I have Firefox's "Enhanced Tracking Protection" set to "Custom", with all boxes checked. And I'm running uBlock Origin.
