Show HN: I built an online state machine editor
I built it with some thoughts to solve some centralized state management problems.
- waldrews 2y agoThe world needs better pricing models for such tools. Monthly fee, even a cheap one, is just too much of a congitive load. Maybe a subscription service for many SaaS that allocates fees to its components according to a usage based formula? Would be difficult to get incentives right.
- greabo 2y agoYep, you're right! I should think of a better strategy.
- davidkpiano 2y agoHow does this compare to the state machine editor on https://state.new https://state.new ?
- greabo 2y agoSeems stately.ai has a stronger descriptive power. Protocoldesigner doesnt have mature features now, and not even a best practice.
- ksherlock 2y agoI feel like you should put the shortcuts in the sidebar instead of having a link to a page with the shortcuts. I quickly get into a state (hah) where shortcuts stop working or error out with "multiple nodes selected".

- airbreather 2y agoI prefer the state table because it forces you to consider every transition.
