From the article, NHTSA is also responding to "a never-ending stream of videos from the public, like the Waymo AVs choosing to go down the wrong way on a street". What I don't understand is: aren't the AV vendors required to report this kind of error? If not, shouldn't they be required? Or, is it that they don't they know when their cars drive down the road the wrong way?
