There was a point in time, if you had a popular windows app, Microsoft would build their own version of it and ship it to the masses. Excel, Word, Flight Simulator, Internet Explorer etc LMMs trained on ungodly amounts of internet and private data could be that. You and I should be worried. It’s a dog eat dog world out there. A definition of AGI is “do what humans do”. Better, faster, cheaper. Best course of humanity is that this takes a few decades to be as good as humans. If it’s rapid, it’s going to be very disruptive.
