LLM in the wild astroturfing political opinions
- Khelavaster 2y agoAs a mod to two subreddits?
- sva_ 2y agoYeah, that's weird. I compared two of their posts and did a wordcount using wc -w, and it showed >1000wpm[0][1], which makes me pretty confident that it can't be a single person at least. What is interesting is the fact that it seems to post correct links, but misrepresents their content on further investigation. The subs it mods seem kinda suspicious as well though. 0. https://old.reddit.com/r/JoeRogan/comments/1cs05k5/7_minutes_of_bill_burr_saying_to_bill_maher_what/l42249e/ https://old.reddit.com/r/JoeRogan/comments/1cs05k5/7_minutes... 1. https://old.reddit.com/r/JoeRogan/comments/1cs05k5/7_minutes_of_bill_burr_saying_to_bill_maher_what/l422bpd/ https://old.reddit.com/r/JoeRogan/comments/1cs05k5/7_minutes...
- Nathanba 2y agoThis should really officially be illegal, it's not even whether the content is garbage or not. I'm sure much of human content is also absolutely negative to a discussion. It's about the fact that it's hiding what it is. Not sure if it's at least against Reddit TOS to use AIs to fake discussions, I would think it should obviously be the case.
