Western University researchers unlock potential 'cure' for ALS
- WarOnPrivacy 2y agoThe next step in research was using mice, where a mouse named Lucy who had been genetically modified to have ALS was given both treatments. Her sister did not receive the treatment and died, whereas Lucy lived through experimentation and according to Strong was "doing fine". One team's research has progressed to publishing a paper. I'm a little distressed CTV would broadcast so little as a Potential Cure. Even if there's a non-zero chance of being right. I lost a friend to ALS. He let me keep an office in his home and I saw the day to day. It is a truly rough road. He certainly didn't appreciate the over-amplified hope that invariably follows these horrific disorders.

Except this time obviously lol
