This is a bummer. Having used a variety of "enterprise" platforms, Workplace was easily the best. Work Chat was nothing special, but moving most communication to group posts and comments was so much better than email or group chats. That said, its async model makes it an outlier compared to something like Slack, so I can see why it was a hard sell.
