Tesla's profit per vehicle is much better than the competition. If this becomes a severe problem, there are multiple venues it can pursue to avoid stock piling up, such as:
* Reduce prices further, making buying a Tesla even more attractive than it currently is.
* Expand the market to other countries where they aren't present yet: this is not trivial but feasible. It could take their profit closer to other automakers, though.
The fact that they have stock for multiple weeks now isn't ideal, but they're still an outlier doing much better than the competition.

BMW and Mercedes both sell more cars per year and both have higher profit per vehicle than Tesla: https://fiatgroupworld.com/2024/04/07/ferrari-makes-even-more-money-in-2023/ https://fiatgroupworld.com/2024/04/07/ferrari-makes-even-mor... Ferrari makes the most per vehicle but they don't sell many cars. Toyota, Hyundai, Subaru, Kia, Stellantis, JLR, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, and Ferrari all had better operating margins than Tesla last year.
