ISO-8859-1 only supports Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Dutch, English, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, and Icelandic. So, about half of Europe.
- HelloNurse 2y agoLack of support for "non-Europeans" is a very generous way to describe ISO-8859-1. Apart from most European and non-European languages, it doesn't support emojis, mathematical symbols, combining marks, and many other characters that are normally taken for granted.
