On planet XC-139 I hear that fusion power is 50 years away, so Emperor Xjastalk has subsidized collection of star power until that time.
(Or, we have no reason to believe other intelligent life is any more or any less flawed as we may be)
- dudeinjapan 2y agoGiven where we are now—reproducible demonstrations of net gain, using AI to control confinement—it’s reasonable to think we will see some full-scale implementation in our lifetime. Its a virtual certainty humanity will achieve practical fusion before the year 3000, unless of course we use fusion bombs to destroy ourselves.
