The way to fix it is to find a material to replace it that’s cheaper and doesn’t have the downsides. We might be able to limit one time use plastic with government intervention, but not the global plastic industry. Call me a pessimist. But once you really dig in to all the places it’s used you realize a lot of the modern world wouldn’t exist without it unfortunately. Nothing short of that will unseat plastics.
