The Upside of a Down Economy

  Those entrepreneurs who adapt quickly and right size their company will survive this and will be stronger when it's all over So... the upside is... those who fire the most people win? Man, we should have more of these downturn things.

    I don't think the author is referring to "firing" employees. I think it's about the size of starting a company and what makes sense.

      "Right-sizing" is a modern euphemism for "down-sizing", which is a modern euphemism for "firing".

        I think we need more confusing euphemisms. Next up: Super-Sizing, as in "We reduced the size of our payroll by half -- isn't that super?"
