I don't recall seeing anything about Squarespace immediately going private and being beholden to an investment firm showing up in those emails. >Feel free to migrate your domains somewhere else. Thanks for the permission, that's exactly what I and I'm sure many others are about to do. Too bad the timing of this announcement is days after the migration from Google to Squarepspace, so I'm not actually allowed to migrate my domain for 60 days :)
- lxgr 2y agoOh wow, did they actually do this as a registrar transfer (rather than by Squarespace stepping in as Google Domains' sucessor)?
- JohnMakin 2y agoIt was temporarily the latter, as far as I was aware - I got out as soon as they announced it and migrated to CF. But yea basically, and it's going about as well as you'd expect it to.
- bogwog 2y agoMany domains didn't actually transfer to squarespace until very recently. Mine all finished transferring last week (it's probably a coincidence though)
