I went back for a full time MBA at 30, an MS in computer science at 35 and moved into machine learning from finance at 40. I have no idea what my late 40s will bring but I think despite a bit of career “lostness” I eventually found what I wanted and really didn’t sacrifice too much on the way. Don’t know if that helps but hopefully you know there is a lot of life even after 40.
