I was fully remote for years prior to the pandemic. My employer went fully remote for everyone during the pandemic. They then did a RTO which was going to apply to me also. I retired last summer at age 54 instead. Now I spend my time managing a horse farm and renovations on an accompanying 1886 house which if things go well we will actually get to occupy sometime this year. Beats the heck out of an office.
