The economic order is breaking down

- chiefalchemist 2y ago> The end of the cold war, however, helped stitch the global economy together more tightly. The truth is, there never was truly order in the first place, at least not in the way that markets truly function. Globalization wasn't a natural phenomenon per se. It's that a handful+ of entities saw an opportunity to optimize a system (read: profit enormously) that in reality was too complex and too volatile (e.g., wars, natural disasters, climate change, sociopolitical dynamics, etc) to be optimized. The world is effectively return to exactly how it should be. Granted, less optimized and less profitable for the chosen few, but nonetheless exactly how it should be, like it or not, for better or for worse.
