- umnbri 2y agoExactly. What’s the outcome of this inevitability: New-age “programmer” designs a beautiful algorithm with long reaching implications. They provide a machine learning tool the design spec, and it “programs it”, but the program fails. The student is ignorant of programming, and blindly faithful in the machine learning tool, so the student assumes their design spec must be flawed, but is unable to find a flaw, and so abandons it. Turns out the machine learning tool hallucinated an off by one error that could have been identified had the student learned to program.
