Some percentage of solar panels will become dysfunctional because of extreme weather events.
- margalabargala 2y agoThere is no item, person, or place on Earth for which this is not true. Few things could make something less special than saying "sometimes, this thing is destroyed by extreme weather".
- abdullahkhalids 2y agoThe point, which I should have stated explicitly, is that the solar panels that break should/can be recycled. And so recycling is also needed for this percentage.
- westurner 2y agoIf people recycle PV and TPV panels at 20% from peak/new, the effective average product lifetime is shorter given a higher rate of failure.
