It’s been increasingly difficult to make money writing, even before AI. I believe AI will kill >90% of writing jobs in the near future. With a GPT-5 level model, a human manager/editor will be able to lay off most of their writers. The top writers will remain, of course, but I have no idea what will happen to the rest. Pretty sure it’s the same situation with programmers.
