Ask HN: Do startups care about corporate tax rate?
There are startups in many countries, and those countries have measurably different corporate tax rates.
Is the corporate tax rate of the home country a concern? Are there other significant financial rules or regulations which affect the consideration of where to found a startup?
- stop50 2y agoCorporate tax here is applied on the profit, so until you make enough profit to pay corporate tax, you pay nothing.
- michaelteter 2y agoAnd if the goal is to get bought by a bigger company, or to IPO, is the tax on profit also irrelevant?
