- LargoLasskhyfv 2y agoThat wasn't hate, just stating facts. In case you missed who that Laurent Bercot is, he is the main author of all that's listed on https://skarnet.org/software/ https://skarnet.org/software/ containing some very modular stuff for building rock solid and reliable init systems and process supervision since a long time, while using only ridiculously small amounts of system resorces. If the information at skarnet.org seems too terse, there is https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/S6 https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/S6 , https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/S6_and_s6-rc-based_init_system https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/S6_and_s6-rc-based_init_system , https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/User:Flexibeast/drafts/S6 https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/User:Flexibeast/drafts/S6 One could consider him very informed in these matters. From his point of view all that systemd stuff must look like a tragic comedy at best. Masses of minions gonna wail, I guess...
