Spices aren’t going to make you sick but they don’t actually taste like anything after a couple months.
- mrec 2y agoMy black pepper is BBE Jan 2006 but still tastes peppery.
- hi-v-rocknroll 2y agoDried spices vary by volatility and oxidizability. I tried some 10 year old saffron kept in a corked vial, and it really didn't do much. I basically had to use the whole thing to get any yellow out of it, probably $20 worth.
- Vegemeister 2y agoProbably doesn't smell peppery, though, especially if it's pre-ground.
